Happy Canada Day! (and other July news)

hey everyone!

First of all, Happy Canada Day! πŸ™‚ I hope you’re all enjoying the holiday/time off to yourself, because I sure am.

Now that I’m finally getting caught up on my life, I just wanted to post an update & let you all know what’s going on in the next bit, before I head off to the beautiful west coast! So here’s what you should know:

1) The Chelsea McBride Group‘s summer residency at Placebo Space continues this Thursday, July 4, at 8pm! We’ll have two sets of tunes for you, and the band features Mark Sparling, Scott Hunter (playing the role of Brad Cheeseman), and Tyler Goertzen (playing the role of Noah Sherman). Details are here.

2) Speaking of Placebo Space, I’m now guest hosting the jam for two weeks in a row – this Wednesday, July 3, and the following Wednesday July 10. The house set starts at 8 both nights, before we take a quick break and open up the floor to any jammers who want to join.

3) I’m SO stoked to be returning to the RexΒ (click that link and check out their beautiful new website!) with the Socialist Night SchoolΒ on Saturday, July 13! We’ve got new & old tunes for you, and this is our last planned show before we go into recording mode, so be absolutely sure to be there! Details here.

4) if you’re in Etobicoke and like to have music with your morning coffee, my last two gigs at Tatsu’s for the month are this Friday, July 5, and the following Tuesday, July 9! We play for your tips & brighten up your morning, so if you’re in the neighbourhood, make this your first stop!

That’s all for now; you’ll hear more from me when I return from Vancouver (if not sooner) – hope to see you all around this month!
