August update

I’ve been a little late updating for the month, but I still have a few exciting things coming up that I just wanted to share with you, so in chronological order:

1) Daniel Jamieson returns to the Rex with his Danjam Orchestra on Tues Aug 6 & Wed Aug 7, and has a ton of exciting news & new music to boot! If you’re in the neighbourhood, I will be selling merch, making new friends, and MAYBE previewing some brand-new Socialist Night School material that even the band hasn’t seen yet! It promises to be an exciting two nights and I hope you can come check it out. 9:30pm downbeat both nights.

2) I’m so excited to be playing with Bruce Cassidy‘s band as part of a tribute to Hugh Masekela! That’s happening this Thursday, August 8, at Hugh’s Room, which is a beautiful space I’ve never been to yet. This is going to be a big adventure for me and I am so thrilled to be a part of it! 8:30pm downbeat.

3) I’m wrapping up this week with a party with Melodrome Dancemachine and DMDP at the Sister! That’s this Friday, August 9 – show starts at 10pm/no cover, and the boys and me are too excited to play tunes that will get your body moving, right after Melodrome warms you guys up!

4) I’m wrapping up the summer residency at Placebo Space on Thursday, August 15 – 8pm start/no cover, we play tunes and you stay happy 🙂

After that, I’m going into chart-taping mode while school and the Socialist Night School’s sessions sneak up on me very very quickly, but don’t fear! I will be back before long. Stay tuned for more exciting news, and in the meantime, hope to see you at the shows 🙂
