Socialist returns, Chelsea plays tunes in Picton, and more!

Hey folks! Check out this new Socialist Night School video:

It’s from our album release show, and we’re so excited to share it with you!

We’re playing another show coming up Monday, August 25 – it’s also at the Rex, and we start at 9:30pm. I’m super excited about this one – features some new faces in the band, and the big band premiere of the tune I wrote for the Ottawa Youth Jazz Summit, “Intransitory.” For more show details, click here.

Next: If you are in Picton this weekend for the Prince Edward County Jazz Festival, we hope to see you Sunday at 2pm at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church! Me and the boys in the Chelsea McBride Group will be playing two sets – mostly originals, sort of jazz. We’re deviating a little left of what we usually do, so you should definitely check it out.

And, last but not least, this is short notice, but you should come to the Central tonight. I’ll be playing with the Brad Cheeseman Group, and we’re joining ART (the band) in their last show of their current Central residency. The details for that one are here, and it promises to be an absolutely ridiculous time.

As always, you can check out the Upcoming Gigs page for more info – there’s more exciting stuff in the works, including a Chelsea and the Cityscape concert live-streamed for the world to see, and a Chelsea McBride Group residency starting in September! Updates will be posted here, but in the meantime, see you at a show 🙂
