Chelsea takes over the jazz fest!

I have been waiting to make this official for a while, and if you follow me on social media you might have already seen this, but: I’m super excited to have all my groups playing at the Toronto Jazz Fest this year, and I hope you’ll come support me and the bands and the crazy things we’re doing.

Details in one place here, or for all the separate pages…

Tuesday June 23, 6:30pm
Chelsea McBride’s Socialist Night School
Nathan Philips Square, free admission
(we’re on the festival website here)
We’ll be warming up the stage for the Christian McBride Big Band (no big deal!!) and playing new stuff, old stuff, all of the favourites. You should be there, because, what better way to introduce your friends to good big band music than to hear it live, at a free show, in front of city hall?

Tuesday June 23, 9pm-midnight
Chelsea and the Cityscape
Habits Gastropub, $10 cover
(we’re on the festival website here)
We’ll be sharing the stage with two other bands – one power set from us, two from the other groups. We’re really excited to get the chance to meet some new musicians and hear good music!

Thursday June 25, 9pm-midnight
Chelsea McBride Group
Habits Gastropub, $10 cover
(we’re on the festival website here)
Again, you’ll hear us sharing the stage with two other bands – this time, it’ll be all my tunes that don’t fit anywhere else. Expect a really loose & fun set – we don’t like to take ourselves too seriously 🙂

And after all this stuff, I’ll be hitting the road with the Brad Cheeseman Group for the CD release tour! If you’re in Ottawa, Toronto or Hamilton, you’ll be able to catch this incredibly fun band. Check this page for all the details!
