The Twilight Fall: a year in review

•December 30, 2017 • 1 Comment

In case you missed it, Chelsea McBride’s Socialist Night School‘s debut album The Twilight Fall has been making some pretty serious waves as people wrap up their 2017s.

We are so thankful for all the positive attention this record has been getting! I can’t emphasize enough: when we started, I was just trying to chase this dream I had been working towards for a long time. So to be here now…well, it’s pretty cool.

Be sure to check out the credits; a record like this doesn’t get made without a lot of wonderful people behind the scenes. And if you want to hear what people have been saying…

That’s right, you heard it here first; I’ll be playing in the pit of Brampton Music Theatre’s production of Hairspray for the next two weeks! The cast is excellent and the band is sounding great, so be sure to come out if you’re in the Brampton area.

Hairspray runs from November 9-18 and tickets are on sale on the BMT website here.

And we’re back!

After a month in Banff staring out at the mountains and trying to make sense of the constant soundtrack in my head (seriously, it would be concerning if I wasn’t a musician) I’ve come up with a whole bunch of brand new material for the band. We’ll be premiering three new works on Monday night: “Porcelain”, a funk tune with a slightly feminist bent; “Ballad of the Arboghast”, my love letter to the eponymous ship on Syfy’s The Expanse; and “Love Is On The Line”, the dreamy, homeward bound album closer. I honestly can’t wait to share with you old tunes and new ones alike, and I hope to see you there.
